Hey just wanted to post an apology for not adding any new art tonight. I meant to but it was one of those weird nights where a lot of little stuff popped up and I am just getting started now (12:15 am)...I'll for sure have some new stuff up tomorrow night...so definitely check back then.

I had some little random stuff to say...and I can't think of what it was.

I've been watching a lot of cartoons of all things lately. (while I am working as background noise) The Incredibles, Lilo and Stitch, Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Aristocats, and more.....also been checking out a lot of old 50's, 60's and 70's action on my free "on demand" channels. Stuff like the Herculoids, Scooby Doo, Speed Racer, Richy Rich, Mr. Magoo, Tom and Jerry and all kinds of weird shit.

Herculoids really threw me for a loop. It's really cool and I had heard of it but never seen it before. So that's a rad little discovery for me...

It's so Frazetta with the crazy jungle and mountainous psychedelic backgrounds and stuff (they look like a YES album cover or something...)....pretty sure Alex Toth did all the character designs although when I see them I keep thinking John Buscema really looks like a heavy influence on them....or maybe it's the other way around..?.I dunno.



No matter what time I finish working I always end my night with an hour of Howard Stern on demand now as a wind down.....the stuff is so funny~! If I go to sleep right after I am done drawing my brain will still work on the piece while I am trying to sleep/ I'll work through areas I haven't started and it tries to figure stuff out like layout and even additions and subtractions to pieces with parts I haven't totally nailed down or I am not fully happy with......but I sleep really shitty then.

So I have to kind of step out of my drawing brain for at least 45 to an hour before I go to sleep....and Howard can do that really well...

ok so Howard Stern on demand was all f*cked up tonight so I went into Adult Swim on demand.

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO is the SH*T!!

Reminds me a lot of Cowboy Bebop in terms of hopin' styles and flippin' stuff......I have a feeling it is going to be a late night because there's about 8 episodes that I can watch.
