13 years old

I wanted to post this up as sort of a reference point. Most people know me from comics..and most of the comparisons my work gets now are based on comics.

totally cool....but~

I occasionally bust out some art I did as a kid to show what my work was like this early on. I wasn't doing X-Men drawings or Batman drawings as a kid.

I was doing this type of stuff. why? I am not even sure myself.. I received an art scholarship this year....I went to one painting and charcoal drawing class, didn't like it, and then quit.


This is from 7th grade. (13 years old) This is 12 years before I even owned a comic.

This isn't a tracing. I would generally try and get the outline of objects first and then draw all the detailing in. I found that kept things a little more solid. For those more photo realistic pics I do...it's basically the same exact technique.

I remember being really excited about drawing the money and I wanted to do a drawing of a one dollar bill...to get all those little lines, dots, and details, etc. that printed money has.

The other part which I unfortunately never got to was the glass that had ice cubes and all these cool reflections and like beads of sweat on it.
