A friend of mine loaned me the Dark Tower trade this morning. I hadn't really been that into before but for some reason when I saw it today I really liked parts of it quite a bit.

I am not sure if it's the style I am working on right now...or I'm just in the mood for something dark./

Either way here's a piece I started today based on the plot in issue 5.

Susan and the loss of her innocence.

i'd never heard of the series but this makes me want to read it. even though this is a wip it's beautiful, but a little unsettling for reasons i don't know, as always your shading is amazing

I may be scrapping this piece. I tried using HB lead and it's driving me crazy. It's just too smudgy for my tastes right now. I may fight with it a little longer but I may start this thing over from step 1.

I love the art in this series.
But Im a HUGE fan of the books and the only bad thing about the comic is that you dont read about what happens in the comic until the 4th book!
So it kinda ruined a lot of stuff for me :P
The worst part is his art is really bitchin!!!
And this is a great piece by the way! Very much like susan.

Thanks. I haven't had a chance to read it yet. I did listen about a year ago to one or two of the books on cd. I hope I do the character justice. Does she end up with another name or powers?...I really don't know more than what I saw which looked really cool and trippy.
